Kevin Cromer, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Meet Kevin Cromer, a true Spartanburg native, who has been an integral part of the local mental health community since 2014. Starting as a registered nurse at Spartanburg Medical Center, Kevin quickly discovered his passion for mental health, sparking a relentless drive to make a difference.
With a burning desire to enhance his knowledge and skills, Kevin pursued advanced education and became an ANCC-Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, solidifying his commitment to providing the highest level of care. Having worked both inpatient and outpatient at Spartanburg Medical Center, Kevin's empathetic nature and genuine desire to help people culminated in the establishment of Upstate Mental Health, LLC in January 2021.
In December 2021, Kevin proudly opened the doors to the community, making history as the first Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-owned office in Spartanburg, SC. E. Danielle Berry, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
ProviderMeet Danielle Berry, Danielle brings a wealth of dedication and expertise to Upstate Mental Health, LLC. Danielle graduated from USC-Upstate with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2010. She spent a decade working in the emergency setting where she encountered those experiencing mental health crises often. Because of this she decided to pursue an advanced degree in psychiatric/mental health nursing. A proud alumna of Gardner Webb University, she earned her Doctorate in Nursing with a specialization in Mental Health as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, a testament to her commitment to improving the mental health of her community.
Danielle grew up in Pauline, South Carolina and has spent her entire life in the Spartanburg area, forging strong connections with the community and its resources. With over a decade of experience in the Emergency Center, she possesses a comprehensive nursing skill set encompassing both medical and psychiatric care. Most recently she served as a forensic nurse and sexual assault nurse examiner in both a clinician and an educator role. In this role she provided expert care to patients experiencing sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child abuse/neglect, and vulnerable adult abuse/neglect.
Danielle is an ANCC board certified PMHNP and she is well-versed in holistic healthcare for diverse populations, boasting an exceptional knowledge of mental health conditions and treatments. She holds additional board certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for Adolescents and Adults (SANE-A).
As a proud member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the International Association of Forensic Nurses, and the American Nurses Association, Danielle actively contributes to her professional growth and development. Her dedication to a trauma-informed care approach ensures that she meets clients where they are on their mental health journey, delivering compassionate, comprehensive care.
Ashley Cromer, RN, MSN, CNL
Meet Ashley Cromer, a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse Leader, and our Practice Manager, hailing from the warm community of Spartanburg, SC.
Ashley's journey into the world of nursing began at Lander University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2016. Driven by her passion for patient care, she pursued further education and earned her Masters Degree in Nursing from the same esteemed institution, specializing as a Clinical Nurse Leader.
Her career took off in the bustling Emergency Department of Spartanburg Medical Center, where she discovered her true calling – providing care and support to those struggling with mental health challenges. Guided by empathy and understanding, Ashley has since committed herself to the mental health field, making a significant impact on countless lives.
Today, Ashley brings her wealth of experience and expertise to Upstate Mental Health, LLC, serving as both the Practice Manager and Clinical Nurse Leader. Her tireless dedication and warm demeanor create an inspiring atmosphere for both patients and staff.
